Walk or use public transport

  • It is going to be very busy and there is no onsite parking.
  • If you live locally, and are able to walk to Poynton Pool/Park, please do so. You’ll avoid the risk of spending time in a traffic queue and have more fun.

Buy tickets in advance

  • It speeds up your entry to the event.
  • There will be no ticket sales on the gate.
  • When we have sold out then we have reached capacity, there are no more tickets available.

Allow plenty of time

  • The first display starts at 7pm with gates open from 5:30pm. We recommend arriving as early as possible to allow plenty of time to to make your way in to the event.
  • Queues can build up for people entering the event, so have your ticket ready to show the gate marshalls.

Clothing and footwear

  • Poynton Park in November! Please wear warm clothing, especially young children. Boots, coats, gloves, scarves etc are recommended.
  • Depending on the weather on the day and preceding days, the park may get muddy, so please wear boots or appropriate footwear.

Torches

  • A lot of the site is lit, but some areas of the site can be dark, so please bring a torch.

Young Children

  • It is dark and busy, so please keep young children close by.
  • If any children do get separated from their family, they will be taken to the First Aid tent (which is near the bar and music stage) and looked after there.

Toilets

  • There are plenty of toilets available on-site.

Food & Drink

  • No alcohol is to be brought on site. Bag searches are being made and any alcohol will not be allowed onsite.
  • No open bottles (water, soft drinks, etc) will be allowed on the site.
  • There are plenty of food and drink retailers on the site.
  • Alcohol is only available from the Round Table bar close to the music stage.

Dogs

  • Please do not bring a dog. We don’t believe the site is appropriate for dogs. The site is very busy, dark, very noisy with fairgrounds and crowds, and the fireworks really loud.

Cashpoint / Cheques

  • There is no Cashpoint in the park.
  • We can NOT take cheques.

Credit/Debit cards/ Mobile Payments

  • Credit / Debit card and mobile payments are taken on the bar for refreshments.
  • Other retailers on the bonfire site (such as the fair and food outlets) will have their own payment arrangements. We can’t guarantee they will take card or mobile payments.
